There may be only one season of Merlin left to enjoy, but I still think it's worth writing about. I'm only sad that I discovered this show so late!
For those of you who may not have discovered it yet:
Merlin is about...well Merlin. Though this retelling of the Arthurian legend may be twisted and changed more than ever, it is still a great show. They take many liberties with the legend, but if you can get past that...you will find it very enjoyable.
In this retelling Merlin is a young boy in a kingdom where magic is outlawed. He travels to Camolot in search of a purpose in his life and someone to help and guide him. He has to hide his magical talents, which is, of course, difficult and sucky.
Upon coming to Camolot, Merlin gets into some trouble when he sticks up for a servant being picked on by his master, Prince Arthur. The two end up becoming friends, despite their differences and struggles and rank. Both I believe are around the same age, twenty, and then by the end of season one, Arthur is 21.
So read on to my dear posts, my thoughts and spoilers. Enjoy, laugh, cry, be outraged.
This is definitely a show I HIGHLY recommend. Just remember...be open-minded and don't expect it to be like the legend. It's not. But it's still awesome.
